INSTITOUTO PROOTHISIS KAI PISTOPOIISIS PROIONTON AGRODIATROFIS, Greece
The Institute for Promotion and Certification of Agri-Food Products — iAgroCert — is a Greek non-governmental, non-profit organisation based in Veroia, Central Macedonia. Founded with the mission of strengthening the agri-food sector across Europe, iAgroCert operates at the intersection of sustainable agriculture, vocational education, digital innovation, and rural development.
iAgroCert’s core activities span agri-food product promotion and certification, the development of quality marketing strategies for local producers, support for networking among agri-food businesses, and the interconnection of agricultural production with tourism. The organisation is deeply committed to environmental protection, renewable energy, and the fight against social exclusion — ensuring that education and opportunity reach rural youth, women, and underrepresented communities.
With an extensive portfolio of over 20 European projects, iAgroCert has established itself as a recognised leader in EU-funded initiatives. As project coordinator, it has led programmes such as SOIL (digital training for VET learners with disabilities), AHEAD (Agri-Food Cultural Heritage Ambassadors), ARABLE (agricultural entrepreneurship for disabled youth), and FARM2LA. As a partner, it has contributed to landmark projects including Digital Farmer, Agriculture 4.0, BeeLieve (Erasmus+ COVE), and RELOOP (regenerative agriculture through VET).
Within the VETourismo project, iAgroCert takes on a dual leadership role: it leads the development of the VETourismo e-learning platform — designing its architecture, interactive content, and digital learning tools — and drives the project’s digital dissemination and social media campaign, ensuring broad engagement across VET learners, agro-tourism businesses, and policymakers throughout Europe.
