About VETourismo Project
VETourismo is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in Vocational Education and Training that brings together eight organisations from Germany, Bulgaria, Romania, Greece, Italy, Croatia and Portugal to modernise education and training in agro-tourism. The project responds to a growing need in rural Europe: agro-tourism businesses and future professionals must become more sustainable, digitally capable and competitive, while vocational education needs practical learning approaches that reflect these changes.
Over 24 months, VETourismo will connect vocational education with the realities of agriculture, tourism and rural entrepreneurship. The partnership will research current skills gaps and good practices, develop a modular VETourismo Curriculum, create an interactive e-learning platform and immersive 360° virtual farm tours, and test the learning resources with educators, learners and agro-tourism professionals. Training and stakeholder activities will further support the practical use of digital marketing, smart technologies, sustainable tourism approaches and climate-conscious practices.
VETourismo places particular emphasis on accessibility and inclusion, with attention to rural learners, women and people with fewer opportunities. Its ambition is to create practical, transferable and openly accessible resources that strengthen employability, entrepreneurship and cooperation between VET providers, rural businesses and other stakeholders. In this way, the project supports a greener, more digital and resilient agro-tourism sector across Europe.
About Us:
VETourismo, Advancing Digital and Sustainable Practices in Agro-Tourism for VETs, is a 24-month Erasmus+ KA220-VET Cooperation Partnership running from September 2025 to August 2027. Coordinated by uDevelop e.V. in Germany, the project brings together eight organisations with complementary expertise in vocational education, tourism, agriculture, entrepreneurship, rural development, digital learning and sustainability.
The project was created in response to clear challenges affecting agro-tourism and vocational education. Rural businesses increasingly need digital tools, sustainable business models and climate-resilient practices, while VET learners and educators need training content that reflects the changing realities of the sector. VETourismo addresses these gaps with a practical learning framework that connects education with real industry needs and supports the green and digital transitions of rural economies.
