About Us

VETourismo, Advancing Digital and Sustainable Practices in Agro-Tourism for VETs, is a 24-month Erasmus+ KA220-VET Cooperation Partnership running from September 2025 to August 2027. Coordinated by uDevelop e.V. in Germany, the project brings together eight organisations with complementary expertise in vocational education, tourism, agriculture, entrepreneurship, rural development, digital learning and sustainability.

The project was created in response to clear challenges affecting agro-tourism and vocational education. Rural businesses increasingly need digital tools, sustainable business models and climate-resilient practices, while VET learners and educators need training content that reflects the changing realities of the sector. VETourismo addresses these gaps with a practical learning framework that connects education with real industry needs and supports the green and digital transitions of rural economies.

The work begins with research and stakeholder consultation across the partner countries. These findings will shape a modular curriculum built around four pillars: Sustainable Agro-Tourism & Environmental Stewardship, Digitalization & Smart Technologies, Entrepreneurship & Business Development, and Cultural Heritage & Community-Based Tourism. The curriculum will then be supported by a dedicated e-learning platform, multimedia learning resources and immersive 360° virtual farm tours. Pilot testing, capacity-building training and stakeholder Think Tanks will help validate the resources and strengthen their relevance for VET learners, trainers, rural entrepreneurs and agro-tourism professionals.
